How they differ

Where the work happens. Klaviyo's AI integrations connect your assistant to a Klaviyo account you already have K1. Tellnod starts in the chat: you sign up, set your brand, import contacts and verify your domain without opening a separate dashboard.

The moment before sending. In Tellnod, the assistant can prepare a campaign but cannot send it. Preparing a send freezes the recipient list and shows a card with the recipient count, excluded contacts, schedule and compliance checklist. The campaign is scheduled only when you press Confirm, and you can cancel until it sends. See how sending is protected.

Depth. Klaviyo covers far more: behavioral flows, analytics and SMS in one platform K3. Tellnod's first version focuses on one-off campaigns done well.

When Klaviyo is the better choice

  • You run an online store with steady order volume and want automated flows (welcome series, browse abandonment, post-purchase) from day one.
  • Someone on your team will spend time in a marketing dashboard each week.
  • You need SMS and email together today.

When Tellnod is the better choice

  • You don't use a marketing tool yet, and your newsletter today is a Gmail draft.
  • You already use Claude or ChatGPT every day and want campaigns to happen there.
  • You want to see and approve every send before it goes out.
  • Your list is under 5,000 contacts and you send a few campaigns a month.

Can I use both?

Yes. Some shops keep Klaviyo for automated flows and want a faster way to send a one-off campaign. Tellnod keeps its own contact list and consent records, so you would import contacts and keep unsubscribes in sync between the two.

FAQ

Is Tellnod a Klaviyo alternative?

For shops that send occasional campaigns and don't need automated flows yet, it can be. For stores that rely on flows and SMS, Klaviyo covers more.

Can I move my contacts from Klaviyo to Tellnod?

Export a CSV from Klaviyo and import it in the chat. Tellnod keeps consent status and unsubscribes from the file. Contacts without consent information are not imported as subscribed until you confirm they opted in.

Can an AI assistant send a Tellnod campaign on its own?

No. The assistant can prepare a send, but only the Confirm button on the card can schedule it, and each confirmation is single-use and expires after 10 minutes.
