How to send an email campaign from Claude

To send an email campaign from Claude, add an email marketing connector such as Tellnod as a custom connector, describe the campaign in a chat, review the desktop and mobile preview, send yourself a test, and approve the send on the confirmation card.

Steps

  1. Add the connector

In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Tellnod and paste the connector address from the connect page S1.

  2. Sign in and set up your brand

Sign in with Google, then ask "Set up my brand from myshop.com". Tellnod reads your site once for your logo, colors and sender name, and shows a brand card to confirm.

  3. Import your contacts

Attach a CSV or paste a sheet. Consent status and unsubscribes are kept; contacts without consent information are not marked as subscribed until you confirm they opted in.

  4. Describe the campaign

Say who it is for and what it says, for example "Email customers who haven't ordered in 60 days about the autumn collection". Claude drafts it with Tellnod and shows a preview card for desktop and mobile.

  5. Test, then approve

Send a test to yourself. When you are happy, Claude prepares the send and Tellnod shows a confirmation card with the recipient count, exclusions and schedule. The campaign is scheduled only when you press Confirm.

What you need

  • A Claude account. Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise; Free accounts can add one custom connector, and on Team and Enterprise an owner adds it for the organization S1.
  • A domain you can add DNS records to, so campaigns go out from your own address with SPF, DKIM and DMARC in place. Tellnod gives you the records to copy.
  • A list of people who agreed to hear from you. See double opt-in.

Adding the connector, step by step

  1. Open Claude and go to Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Tellnod and paste the connector address. Click Continue.
  4. Keep the detected sign-in settings, click Add, then sign in with Google.
  5. In any chat, open + → Connectors and turn Tellnod on.

Claude can only reach tools you connect. Without a connector it can draft an email, but it cannot send it or manage a list.

  • Make the headline shorter and show it on mobile.
  • Send a test to me, then schedule it for Thursday at 9 am.

FAQ

Can Claude send marketing email by itself?

Not without a connector. With Tellnod connected, Claude can prepare a campaign, but only the Confirm button on the card can schedule it, and you can cancel until it sends.

Do I need a Klaviyo or Mailchimp account?

No. Tellnod includes the contact list, sending and compliance footer. You start from zero in the chat.

What does it cost?

Tellnod plans to be free up to 500 contacts and 2,000 emails a month, with Starter from $19 a month. See pricing. Claude is billed separately by Anthropic under your own plan.

Can I use the same setup in ChatGPT?

Yes. The same connector address works in ChatGPT. See how to send marketing email from ChatGPT.
